Modifications:

1. Tremec 5:

Developed in the early 1980s, the Tremec 5-speed manual transmission was the first choice for many car manufacturers. It was installed as original equipment in a multitude of cars, including the Ford Mustang “2021 Ford Mach 1”.

It is compact, lightweight, and is optimized for medium torque cars (300 lb-ft). Those qualities enable extremely smooth shifting even at high RPMs. Additionally, the Tremec 5 offers excellent overdrive and great fuel economy on highways.

For those very reasons, our 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe 289 had its original 3-speed manual transmission replaced with a Tremec 5. The original transmission is available and comes with the purchase of the car.
